Boys 2 Men is a 6 week program aimed at teenagers with Apserger’s Syndrome and Autistic Spectrum Conditions.

This program is designed to help develop a strong sense of self, an ability to recognise the potential within each of the participants. It aims to improve self-esteem and self image and encourage the young men to understand how to make positive life choices in a safe environment. We aim to encourage the attendees to recognise their own strengths and help them to understand the nature of their challenges whilst developing individual strategies for overcoming some of the barriers that these young adults face.

The sessions run weekly at our centre in Bideford, starting on Monday 13th February 2012 at 5.30pm. Each session lasts for 1.5 hours.

Prior to commencement and at the end of the course, all participants will undertake an assessment of their self-concept (Beck) and their self-esteem (Rosenberg.) The results may be used in research papers in an anonymous form.

Participants will be expected to attend all sessions. There is a cost of £50.00 per person for the course.
