New Developments

Changes are afoot on our website and in our centre! The observant amongst you may have noticed a new icon on our frontpage that says "make this website talk." This new feature is called Browsealoud and it will read the webpage for people who may have difficulties reading. We hope that this will make our website more user friendly and encourage people to spend more time on our site.

Course news- we have begun developing 2 new Autism Course. The first is based around sensory processing issues for people with autism and will be an insightful and in-depth look at how sensory issues are key to understanding how people with autism experience the world.

The second course, is a practical course based on addressing particualry challenging behaviours and routines that may limit a persons ability to engage effectively. Both of these new courses are for experienced practitioners with an up to date and modern undertsnading of autism. It is highly desireable that applicants have undertaken our Introduction to Autism course.

Summer 2011

A quick update for Summer 2011!

We continue to grow and develop our services not just in Devon but around Europe! We're now working with families in Spain, offering the RDI Program inboth Madrid and Barcelona. We'll soon be putting up a Spanish website and we're developing links with a fantastic Music Therapist in Madrid.

Closer to home, our training continues to be very popular and we're promoting them throughout the area. We're looking to expand our training services and will be developing a Sensory Course.

We've been working hard on our consultancy service too! We help schools, LEAs, LAs, care groups and other organisations develop their autism provision through training and advice.

Back to Spain now - where we're presenting at an International Conference in Barcelona at the end of June, for more information click here.

Thanks for all your kind wishes and support. As Silvia's maternity draws to a close, she's keen to get stuck back into her work! Our training program has restarted and we're now offering our consultancy services in the area too. Silvia currently has space for new RDI families. Watch this space for an announcement about our new RDI costing structure.
